My brother Michael, his wife Tania, and their son Abraham came to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta this year. We were so excited to see them, and see how excited they got over seeing all the Balloons!!
There are always some unpredictable weather conditions to fight, one time it started raining when we were on the field, and other mornings we were so, so cold! Good thing we brought the Hot Chocolate ;)

Pictures seriously do not do this event justice!! It's so thrilling to be on the field with all these balloons popping up around you, huge tarps laid out all over the place, and then all the cheering from the crowds as balloons pop up, and lift off.
As we waited for the Special Shapes Night Glow, Nana and Papa spoiled the kiddos with bubble guns, and it was a huge hit!
Poor Ben's head! Between the morning and night Balloon shows we had been back at the house just playing around, when Ben tripped over his own feet while chasing a balloon, and hit his forehead straight into the corner of hallway door frame! My mom and I took him to an ER, where he got 7 stitches. He fell asleep in the car, but woke up as soon as the nurse put a cold numbing cotton ball on his cut! But he calmed down, and was really great during the stitching, didn't cry at all :) This was his second set of stitches, during the first one they held him down and had to hold his head while he screamed. This time I just held his hands and talked to him, and he held still! So we gave him some pain killers, covered it up, and went back to the Balloons! What a trooper.
