A day at the Farm

The last thing we did for our spring break vacation was to take a trip out to the farm house.

We started out with very scared city boys, and ended with boys who would go outside by themselves! lol
The first thing we did was try to go fishing before it got too dark.

Jeremiah caught his first fish- and the boys were squeamish about touching it, but they all ended up doing it :)The next morning we dug out the tire tracks that Alex's dad had left the last time he came out. Then went fishing again. We all caught a few fish, and here is Josh with his little one:My big catfish got away (darn it)

Then we went back to the house for a nice nap and Alex's Birthday Cake!!! We had bought a red velvet cake out there in the middle of no where- it was the only decent looking cake- interesting taste!!

2 HOLLERS!:

Bluebonnets were on 30 heading west towards Aledo, in the median there are tons. We got off on one of the little roads and wandered a bit further in. There were less there but also less chance of one of the kids becoming a pancake on the freeway.
