Jeremiah is Ordained

Jeremiah was ordained a Deacon today at Church which means he really is a little man now!

I am so glad my parents were able to come to Texas for this, even though they have so much going on back in Utah.

Mom and Dad flew in on Friday morning (they had to get up at 3 am to make their flight!), and then we spent Saturday problem solving and game playing.  Ben is ecstatic to have someone to play board games with!

Alex ordained Jeremiah today, and we had Papa, Jon Gee, Mike Bowlby, Bishop Benson, and Justin Kiggins stand in the circle.

Crazy Gale drove herself to the Church!  She just had spinal surgery 6 weeks ago, but has had trouble with swelling in her legs so she has not yet driven.  I'm excited that she wanted to come so badly that she wouldn't let anything stand in her way.  

As you can see Ben is not very happy about pictures.

Then both Dan and Gram were able to join us for dinner to celebrate Jeremiah's birthday and ordination.  It was great to spend a couple of hours with them, and play another board game.  Taco Sunday's are always a hit, and then we finished off the rest of Jeremiah's birthday cake.  I am really glad that cake is gone, even though it was really good!  Jeremiah picked out a chocolate cake that he knew Ben would eat, since Ben is super picky about his food.

It was a great day, and we are all so proud of Jeremiah :)
