Fun at the Farm

Our fall was pretty busy with the boys being in sports and then holidays, but we managed a "Thanksgiving" weekend out at Gram's ranch house.  Gram was good enough to bring camp chairs and smores, and we had a really good time around a campfire telling stories, that is, until the wolves started to howl. 
Then the kiddos couldn't wait to get inside!!

What is Matthew's favorite activity at the farm??
DIRT!  And lots of it!

What is Alex's favorite part about going to the farm? 

Fixing things :)  Or tearing them down, however you want to look at it ;)

I think Alex is doing a great job teaching the boys to do a little work and have a little fun.  I know it was hard cutting down tree branches with a broken saw, but the boys had a good time filling the truck with the branches, and a BLAST riding in the back of the truck bed!

We spent the morning driving down the trail to the pond, and clearing the dead trees out of the way, as well as trimming the trees that were growing into the road.

Oh the things Alex will do with his truck!

I know it's been a while since this actually happened, but I'm pretty sure Matthew was a little freaked out about going up the hill, but when it was time to leave he wanted to ride back down in the back.

Aubrey even came out for the fun :)

What is Jeremiah and Joshua's favorite activity at the farm?

Throwing rocks, and various other things into the pond :)
