I know, pretty sad that my 8 1/2 yr old still couldn't ride his bike without training wheels. He just really hated to fall! We've tried so many times to take them off, but the first time he would fall he would be done with it :(
Finally on Thursday I took off the training wheels and with about 20 minutes of practice, and knee pads from his friend, he was off riding like a pro! I'm so happy for him that he finally learned, and all the freedom with his friends he now enjoys.
And Ben is more then happy to sit in the grass and watch everyone. His poor checks!

3 HOLLERS!:
Way to go Josh!!
YES!!! bike riding!!! :)
Glad he finally took the training wheels off, and now he will learn some real freedom and bike riding fun!!! Remember dinosaur-horse tree? ;) Hee hee!
And Jeremiah looks like he is shooting at the bikers!! He needs to learn to ride with Josh now ;)
Ben has such an adorable look there sitting in the grass.... ahhhh.... so peaceful watching his brother's playing!
That is so awesome that Josh was ready to take the training wheels off and ride! He sounds like his uncle Daniel about not wanting to get hurt when he falls. And there is Jeremiah- trying to pop a wheelie on his bike with training wheels- and when he falls he just gets up and keeps going. Funny how different kids can be!
Now you will have a new world of worries as your son wants to go farther from home and you can't be sure what he is doing. That's when you get even better at listening to the Holy Ghost to know if he's in danger. What a growing experience!
Ben is the happiest little guy. Too bad about his chapped cheeks!
