Jeremiah's Baptism

Jeremiah turned 8 in May, but we waited to have him baptized until August.  We were hoping that if we planned it around the family camp out, that my family could make the trip out here.  My parents did get to come, and even helped out in a moment of panic when we thought we'd left the camera at home.
Gale made Jeremiah's pants for him, slightly last minute ;), and without having him around to try on.  I took his measurements, and the boy still managed to grow a little bit between that and the finished product!  Thankfully Gale had him try it on the day before, and could make a quick adjustment.

Jeremiah was a funny kid to be around that morning, I think his nerves made him a little more enthusiastic!

We did manage to get a great family photo after the baptism. 
My mom and dad, Gram, Dan and Debbie, Gale, Adrienne, Logan, Mia and Gabe all came for the ceremony.

Then we enjoyed a party at our house right afterwards.  It was exciting for me to be able to have my co-worker and friend, Victor, come to the baptism.  Victor had been coming to church with our friend Heather and her family for a few months.  We had all spent so much time together, and a bunch of that time in Gospel related discussions.  It was great to see the change Faith can make in a person's life, and celebrate that conviction together. 
We are so proud of Jeremiah and his choice to be baptized, my wish for him is to always remain close to our Heavenly Father- and to be able to draw on his love and protection throughout his life, especially when times seem hard to bare.
