Our family left the lake to have dinner with Aubery and Scott, hoping it wouldn't be too windy for more fireworks. The kids were already worn out, even Ben fell asleep on the way home.
Getting the boat out of a busy lake is never easy, which meant we were about an hour late getting home 😞 Thankfully dinner was easy, plus Scott and Aubrey had time to play board games with the kids 😊
We made it to the fireworks stand just after dark, but ended up having to wait a long time to get service. Thankfully the stand operator had a great way to articulate the sounds and motions of the fireworks we wanted, and he had the kids mesmerized. I think even the adults were like kids in a candy store, wanting almost everything they saw (well, except the price tags).
With three families all buying fireworks we put on quite a good show!! Definitely something to do next year 😍
The kids had such a blast, Scott and Aubery take the cake for best Uncle/Aunt! These two are amazingly good with the kids 💕
It wouldn't be a party without the dessert being themed too, right?!?
